  • Wei Lingshu: Jeje’s mother and the Empress Dowager. She is genuinely delighted that her only son has finally found a spouse. After many failed attempts to push Jeje into finding a lover—through arranged marriages and blind dates, which Jeje avoided and sabotaged—she’s relieved to see him settle down.

  • Fēngchí: A stubborn horse that Jeje discovered during one of his attempts to escape a blind date arranged by his mother. While wandering in the forest, he found the horse injured by a lake. Jeje took it in and cared for it until its injuries fully healed. When he tried to return Fēngchí to the forest, the horse refused to leave. In the end, Jeje decided to keep it, and Fēngchí quickly became his favorite horse due to its impressive speed. (Extra: Fēngchí is fiercely loyal and won’t allow anyone but Jeje to ride it.)
